OPAM is committed to the promotion of the well being of African men and their dependants, and works towards relieving them of the harmful impact of HIV infection and STIs, by empowering them in culturally and linguistically appropriate ways. OPAM encourages self management initiatives among its members and advocates secondary prevention interventions to reduce onward transmission of HIV and STIs.
What are our Objectives

To provide a secure, appropriate, culturally sensitive forum for men and their families from African backgrounds to meet and discuss matters of common concerned.

To advance sound sexual health education to reduce the spread and transmission of HIV and STIs among African communities.

To liaise effectively and appropriately with statutory, local authorities, PCTs and voluntary health and social care providers to facilitate optimum care to African men and their families.

To provide relief and fight stigma resulting from HIV/AIDS with in the community.
